Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia, Canada
Amateur video from my digital camera video setting and pictures of beautiful Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia, Canada, taken from "The Look-Off" on North Mountain. All the land you see was once under the ocean and is now below sea level farm land. Come and see our completely diked garden for yourself and enjoy some delicious food and hospitality! This video is dedicated to the farmers of new and the Acadian dike builders of old. Music by Johann Sebastian Bach - Pachelbel's Canon in D ma

Only a few notice me filming them as we drive by in a big white truck... see if you can pick out the paranoid people... or just have a look at Halifax downtown if you have never been here before... Look at the 3 people in yellow near the end soliciting, they got right quiet and paranoid after they noticed i was filming them... probably collecting for weekend booze money under a charity sign. ** song credit : Moloko - Party Weirdo

Huge Smallmouth Bass
A Yarmouth Nova Scotia autumn monster Smallmouth fishing trip with my 11 year old nephew. We were using live bait 3/8 oz jig minnow rigs. Fishing in 12-15 feet of water. Vertical jigging. Slow presentation. Dead sticking at times. It was 21 inches and probably around 4 pounds. A long way from a world record, but a nice one nevertheless. September 22, 2007. Catch and release. Kid catches huge smallmouth bass. Teaching our next generation the joys of fishing, that last a life time... Tutori

TITANIC ( with some authentic film of her taken in 1911 )
After the death of her cinema projectionist husband in England, his widow discovers in her garden shed a rusting canister below his work bench which contains authentic period newsreel film ( which appeared to have been forgotten ) of the R.M.S.Titanic at rest in her engraving ( fitting out ) dock in Belfast, Northern Ireland in 1911 shortly after she had been launched there on 31/5/11. Unfortunately this is the only actual film of the famous ship in existence and it does not last long. To mak

Snaring Rabbits - Checking Rabbit Snares
This is a video I made of me out checking my rabbit snares. I was inspired to make this video and other videos, from a video I took of my father setting one last season. Check out my videos "Making a Rabbit Snare" and "Snaring Rabbits - How to set a Rabbit Snare", If you want to try it for yourself. I hope you watch and enjoy them all. I know I did making, setting, snaring, taping, putting together video clips, and of course eating rabbits lol! If you happen to make some and set them, let

Making a rabbit snare
This is how to make a home made rabbit snare... If you can't find stainless steel wire, brass or copper will work just as well. Make sure your string is very strong. I like to use a braided twine that is treated with a non-slip coating to prevent knot slippage. If you happen to make some and set them, let me know how you make out. Always be repectful of land owners and get permission...Stay away from residential areas to avoid pets...Post your area to advise other hunters of your s
Interview Wayne Baerwaldt curator Montreal Biennale P1
This is the first part of an indepth interview with Wayne Baerwaldt the curator of the 2007 Montréal Biennale. I have known Wayne Baerwaldt since he was director of Plug In Inc. an artist Run Gallery in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada (1986-1999). We have not always seen eye to eye over the years, but there is a sense in this interview that both of us have mellowed. Wayne talks frankly about how the Biennale de Montréal came together, the choice of artists, his intuitive approach to curating
An American Haunting - You Can Still Be Free
Based on a controversial interpretation of a true story: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bell_Witch Side Note: Donald Sutherland (who plays Betsy's father) and I grew up in the same town (not together, although he did go to high school with my grandmother). Earlier this year a twelve year-old girl was killed in our hometown, allegedly by her own mother, who is currently on trial for first degree murder. Although it's hard to believe that a parent could harm his or her child in such a way, it doe

Snaring Rabbits - How to Set a Rabbit Snare
This is a video of my version of setting a rabbit snare...I was inspired to make this video and other videos, from a video I took of my father setting one last season. Check out my videos "Making a Rabbit Snare" and "Snaring Rabbits - Checking Rabbit Snares" The proof is in the pudding. It works! When searching for an area to snare, if there is no snow, rabbit droppings are a great indicator of the presence of rabbits. The droppings are about the same size and shape of the candy "smarties", w
